Success Adviser and Impact Data Coordinator
As a Success Adviser, Barbra has the critical roles of building relationships with college students, helping to ensure their success in learning and in life. She is also responsible for building the processes to collect relevant data and create reports that are aligned with the organization’s strategic priorities.
Barbra says more than a decade of teaching Spanish and English to middle school students in Chandler and Phoenix has helped prepare her to work with our scholars, “Being a teacher for many years has helped me understand young people which is important in gaining their trust and building a relationship. I work with students on an individual basis on many academic matters but I also encourage them to network, volunteer, and make plenty of friends.”
Before joining College Success Arizona in 2015, Barbra spent several years working with an educational nonprofit focused on increasing high school graduation rates for economically disadvantaged students.
Barbra was born and raised in the Grand Canyon State and graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She recently received her Master of Science degree in Psychology with an Emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, from Grand Canyon University.
