Dr. Richard Daniel brings a long history of working to improve education outcomes for students, particularly first-generation and low-income students. Daniel was born in Superior, Arizona, where his father worked in the copper mines. After graduating from Superior High School, he moved to Phoenix, where he continued his education.  Daniel was the first in his family to attend college, earning his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science (Pre-Med) from Arizona State University. Daniel returned to ASU to earn both his Master of Education, in Higher Education Administration, and Doctor of Philosophy, in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.

“I am eager to join College Success Arizona and support the statewide collaboration among K-12, higher education, and the civic and business sectors,” said Daniel. “College Success Arizona’s efforts to elevate higher education are essential to improve the prosperity and quality of life for the residents of Arizona.”
