College Success Arizona Scholar Asked to Represent Arizona University Students at Achieve60AZ Press Conference
College Success Arizona Scholar, Lisa Martinez Lopez was asked to represent Arizona’s college students at the roll-out of the state’s new college attainment goal – Achieve60AZ. Lisa was recognized by Governor Doug Ducey at a Press Conference attended by nearly 200 educators, business leaders, and regional media.
Lisa is a college senior, currently attending Arizona State University. She made her way to ASU via Phoenix College, where she was an active member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, maintained a 4.0 GPA, and was a part of the Phoenix College honors program.
At ASU, Lisa is pursuing a double-major in Business Management and Marketing. In addition to her classes, Lisa is working two internships, one with the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, as the administrative assistant to the CEO, and the other in the marketing department of ASU’s New College Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences. Even with this full schedule, Lisa has been on the Dean’s List every semester.
Lisa’s ultimate career goal is to work as the head of the marketing department of a top company. Eventually, she wants to start her own firm that will exclusively work with small businesses to help create and improve their marketing and outreach strategies to increase their presence within their respective industry.
Lisa is inspired to work hard, both in and out of the classroom. She is thankful for the constant support of her family and wants to be a strong role model for her little sister.
