ARIZONA COLLEGE ACCESS NETWORK

Our vision is for every Arizona student, especially low-income, first generation, students of color, to have equitable access to the knowledge and resources needed to successfully attain a postsecondary education.

AzCAN, a program of College Success Arizona, is a community of college access professionals committed to closing the education attainment gap in Arizona. Our goal is to increase the percent of high school graduates enrolled in a postsecondary education the semester after graduating high school to 70% by 2030.

AzCAN's Guiding Beliefs

COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS

We believe developing robust partnerships are key in serving students and educators; by combining knowledge, talent, and reach, we are better able to meet our statewide goals. Through collaborative partnerships and bringing likeminded people together, AzCAN brings fresh ideas and programs to the community while keeping one main focus: college access for all.

EMPOWERMENT

We believe that a critical part of increasing college access is through empowering students and educators. AzCAN provides free or low-cost professional development for educators across the state, as well as a variety of student-facing programs that provide knowledge to unlock a better future. We are always working towards changing the systems currently in place to one that empowers students, regardless of their zip-code.

ADVOCACY

We believe that educators, community organizations, businesses and government entities have a responsibility to Arizona students. We rely on our community to support, enhance, and implement data-driven strategies that expand our reach. We strive to create a community that advocates and supports each other, as well as the students we serve.
