The Alliance
More than 60 community, business, philanthropic and education organizations in Arizona form this independent alliance that is fueled by a community-based effort to make Arizona competitive through the power of education. Their goal is to generate greater awareness of the importance of increasing Arizona’s level of educational attainment while building support to improve college entry and completion; boost adult education and training; and fuel a pipeline of competitive talent for Arizona’s employers.
Charter
The goal of Achieve60AZ is to help generate greater public and private awareness, ownership and support for the long-term steps needed in college entry and completion, adult education and training, and identifying and closing skills gaps to better prepare our workforce and our state for the future.

“We help children and families get to where they need to be – to be successful at whatever it is they’re struggling through as it relates to their mental health. So, the job I do is really rewarding and fulfilling in the sense that I have the opportunity to go out every day and help other people. And, just having that idea that I’m making an impact and knowing that I’m doing something to help not just help individual children and families, but also impact the greater community as a whole.” – Robert Madril, College Success Arizona Scholar, from Nogales, Arizona who received his Bachelor’s Degree, in Psychology, from the University of Arizona, and works as a clinical supervisor at an outpatient mental health clinic in Tucson.

Continuing with this feature, we’re be taking a closer look at the College Success Arizona team, the people that make all that we do happen. This month’s subject is our newest Success Adviser, Staphany Ramirez.
